Is ReelShort Safe and Legit?

ReelShort is a real streaming product published by NewLeaf/Crazy Maple through the Apple App Store, Google Play, and ReelShort's own website. That establishes legitimacy; it does not prove the app has no security vulnerabilities or that its privacy and billing model fits every viewer.

Our verdict is based on public disclosures and checkout terms, not a penetration test. We found no basis to call the official app a scam or virus, but users should distinguish software safety from data collection, mature content, and recurring charges.

On the US App Store, ReelShort says identifiers may be used to track users across apps and websites. It says user content, identifiers, and usage data may be linked to identity, while diagnostics may be collected without being linked. Apple notes that this label is provided by the developer and has not been verified by Apple.

ReelShort's Google Play disclosure says the app may collect location and personal information, encrypts data in transit, and allows users to request deletion. Its fuller privacy policy describes account and contact details, transactions, device and advertising identifiers, viewing or purchase history, and data used for interest-based advertising.

The current US App Store listing describes a seven-day subscription that bills weekly and renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Prices and packages can differ by region, account, and promotion, so read the checkout sheet rather than relying on an old screenshot or review.

Deleting ReelShort does not cancel Google Play billing. On iPhone, use Settings, your name, and Subscriptions. On Android or the web, open Google Play subscriptions, select ReelShort, then Manage and Cancel subscription. Access generally continues until the paid period ends.

ReelShort's privacy policy directs deletion and privacy requests to reelshort.support@crazymaplestudio.com. The company says it keeps information while needed for the service or while an account is active, and may retain some records longer for legal obligations and disputes.

A deletion request is different from canceling a subscription: do both if you want to stop billing and close the account. Save confirmation emails and check the relevant Apple or Google subscription page afterward.

The current US App Store listing rates ReelShort 13+, while the privacy policy says the service is not for children under 13 or the local age of digital consent. An age rating is not a promise that every title is suitable for every teenager.

Many stories include mature romance, coercive relationships, violence, and frequent purchase prompts. Parents should use device-level purchase approval and review individual titles rather than relying on the app-level rating alone.
