Vertical 9:16 moving reveal in the same convenience store. Begin behind Elias’s right shoulder, track slowly past him and reveal a red suitcase beneath the counter behind Mara. Preserve both characters’ faces, wardrobe, store geography and fluorescent lighting. Elias remains foreground right; Mara remains behind the counter. The suitcase is the only new reveal. Controlled dolly movement, realistic reflections, no dialogue, tense refrigerator hum, no cuts.
The prompt pack is a controlled input, not a published performance result. Footage and retry data remain pending a legally obtained recorded run.

How much does the Runway API cost?
Runway Dev says developer credits cost $0.01 each. The official pricing table checked August 29, 2026 lists Gen-4.5 at 12 credits per second, equivalent to $0.12 per submitted second before taxes and other production costs.
How much is a five-second Gen-4.5 API video?
Five submitted seconds use 60 developer credits. At the listed $0.01 per developer credit, that is a $0.60 API generation charge before retries, repair, sound, storage or editorial work.
Can Runway subscription credits pay for API calls?
No. Runway's official credit help page says plans and credits purchased in the web app are completely separate from credits purchased for the API. Budget and track them as different products.
What is the difference between Gen-4.5 and Gen-4 Turbo pricing?
The checked Runway Dev table lists Gen-4.5 at 12 credits per submitted second and Gen-4 Turbo at 5 credits per submitted second. Gen-4.5 accepts text or image input; the available-model guide lists Gen-4 Turbo as image-to-video. A lower rate does not prove a lower cost per accepted shot.
Does Runway charge extra for ProRes output?
The Runway Dev pricing guide lists a five-credit-per-second surcharge for ProRes or PNG sequence output on supported routes, including Gen-4.5. Confirm format support on the exact route before delivery.
Can Runway be used for vertical short drama?
Yes, but output dimensions and ratio rules are model-specific. Use a supported vertical ratio or vertical reference image for the selected route, then verify that the generated files fit the final 9:16 delivery without destructive reframing.
