ReelShort will make more than 200 short dramas available through Vidio's dedicated Short Drama tab beginning September 1, 2026. The initial catalog covers romance, billionaire romance, fantasy, and family drama. More than 200 titles are due to launch with Indonesian dubbing, while a wider selection will be available with Indonesian subtitles.
Access is tied to Vidio's TV Extra, Platinum, Platinum Extra, and Ultimate subscriber packages. ReelPulse has not found a public title-by-title launch list yet, so this page does not pretend that the announced 200-title catalog has already been disclosed. Why Indonesia matters to ReelShort
Media Partners Asia data cited by Deadline and Variety identifies Indonesia as Asia-Pacific's largest short-drama audience market, representing about 39% of regional viewers. Vidio ended Q2 2026 with 5.8 million paying subscribers across Southeast Asia and holds the largest share of Indonesian SVOD subscriptions at 20.7%.
For ReelShort, this is its first Indonesian partnership and another step in a Southeast Asian expansion that already includes Thailand and the Philippines. MPA estimates ReelShort holds about 29% of global short-form drama revenue, giving Vidio a large catalog partner while giving ReelShort access to an established local subscription audience.
The deal goes beyond distribution
ReelShort and Vidio also plan to co-produce a sizable slate with Indonesian production houses. The resulting shows are expected to appear on both platforms, combining ReelShort's short-drama production system with Indonesian talent, settings, and audience knowledge.
That local-production component may matter more than the first catalog drop. Dubbed imports can test genres quickly, while co-productions can create Indonesian stories that later travel to ReelShort's wider audience.
